BUDGET, PLANNING, RESEARCH & STATISTICS

The Budget planning, Research and Statistics department is saddled with the responsibility of preparing monitoring and analysis of the Annual and supplementary budget of the local government. It also ensure budgetary control through the central expenditure control.

ACCOUNT BOOK (CECAB)

It oversees the collection, collation and analysis of statistical data, preparation of the monthly progress Reports of activities of the local government for internal and external use.

The Department also monitors capital project/programmes in line with the Approved Budget and handles/monitors all activities of the millennium development Goals (MDGS)

The functions staked above are some of the duties performed by the department

1. Department of plans and preparation of Budget
2. Production of Annual progress Report
3. Monitoring and Evaluation of internal and External activities
4. Coordination of policies formulation and priority settings
5. Collation and compilation of data and statistics relating to local government
6. Collation and production of monthly progress Report
7. Central expenditure control Account book (CECAB) – In order to monitor the local government budget for proper charging of vote and to avert over expenditure, the CECAB had been in constant use for the both budget for proper charging of vote and to avert over expenditure, Recurrent and capital expenditure on the passage of payment
